This concept was inspired from the continuous nature of the mobius, combined with the stop action nature of a cog, as in the phrase "cog in the wheel". But it struck me that a cog is also necessary to create a continuous motion. The device, the cog, seems at odds with itself: A device that is responsible for stopping as well as going. A device then, that in essence is responsible for any cycle, a cycle as is resembled by the infinite quantity of the mobius. I saw in an instant the harmony of the two and represented it here. And life goes on.
