Since ancient times, and throughout human development, the imagination of man has manifested itself in fanciful art. Imagery which defies explanation sprang from his psyche onto
cave walls, or they were molded from clay. It is sometimes difficult to determine, as it is with the chicken or the egg, which came first; the image, or the belief that was attached to that
image. There is no doubt however, that these two have been inextricably linked throughout time. Graven images have continually been a major contributor to the consolidation of the
ethereal beliefs; which in turn have had a profound influence on our social structure. In recent
times fantasy imagery has had an equally profound effect on what we term "Pop Culture". From the benign Mickey Mouse, to the more threatening Incredible Hulk. Clowns, ghosts, witches,
dragons, demons and yes even old lovable Santa Claus are all largely a figment of imagination, yet they impact our lives everyday in incalculable ways. Fantasy Art
is what dreams are made of, how dull life would be without it.
Whether Fantasy, Myth, or Legend, to be placed in this
gallery section, the subject the sculpture represents must, for the greater part, originate in the mind.
