Wildlife Art has no doubt the largest audience. It speaks to all ages while eliminating any vestige of politics, religion, race, or sexist views. It is an earthly reprieve from the rigors of living in a fast paced society. The animal world is a vacation to human thought. It is why so many of us choose to vacation in places that provide us with natural splendor. Ocean shorelines, deep forests, wild mountains, spacious canyons, the list goes on. And in every one of these we stop and point and gape at every little bird and giant buffalo. Drive through Yellowstone National Park and if you come around a curve in the road and suddenly see 50 to 100 cars lining both sides of the road, you can bet there is a Grizzly nearby. Fact is: we humans have an unbounded if not mysterious fascination with Wildlife. And for most of us who are not fortunate enough to live near it and see it everyday, we like to do the next best thing. We obtain facsimiles of wildlife to place in our homes where we can be reminded of our individual favorites. Or is it because they, the facsimiles, provide us with a window for our mind, to escape, even for a few brief seconds, to a place of peace and tranquillity.
